Submitting to “Big Reg”
If you know me, you'll know that I'm always on the hunt for constant improvement, constant refinement, and just trying to be better everyday. It's hard to strike that balance in the gravel race industry, especially the balance between wanting to keep those grass roots origins, or improving on professionalism and presentation.
In that spirit we've been attempting to make the website and registration process much easier. We had been trying to fit our web hosts platform into reg so that we - and you - didn't have to deal with extra fees of using "BIG REG." In reality, it just complicated things on all sides. So, 3 years after our first Gravel Roll, and heading into our fourth year we are migrating our registration to BikeReg.
Our website will still have all the details, and we'll continue to add more there, but for simplicity sake and getting you all through the reg process in three steps versus seven steps, it'll be BikeReg moving forward.
Other benefits include online waivers and reduced lines at packet pickup, so it'll be more streamlined on that end, and less time stuffing packets on our end which will cut down lines on race day.
Those of you who already registered with our previous system or purchased a season pass, in the coming days you'll get an email notification that you have been added to our races in BikeReg. If you already have a BikeReg account, which I'm sure many of you do, you'll then be able to attach/import it into your account.
