The Bird Dog 100 this year is a free ride! We are not putting on our full production that you usually find with the Gravel Roll, but we want to continue supporting the community and the groups in Waynesboro that need our support to help them raise funds for various causes and economic impact. We will have two course distances - below - and they will be quasi supported. Not like you’re used to at Gravel Roll’s, but enough that you won’t be totally on your own. Our Race Director extraordinaire, Rob Evans, will be leading everyone out of town and getting to ride alongside you!

No gravel bike? No worries! Any bike in good safe working condition can be used. Maybe not a road bike unless you are into suffering….however, you do you. Just remember, there may or may not be an award for poorest bike choice!
This one’s for the Dogs
The Bird Dog features the largest assortment of road surfaces you’ll ever ride in a single day. You’ll experience from hard packed red clay, orange soil, sand sections, sand/gravel mix, pavement, tar & chip, chip seal and of course good ole regular gravel mixed in for good measure and probably a few more we don’t know how to categorize.
Is the course kooky or creative?

The Bird Dog is a free event this year! We are going to have some low-key support stations out on course, but come prepared to deal with your own mechanicals and water and nutrition needs if you have something special you require!
-
This is just a fun free ride celebrating the last five years of the Bird Dog 100. There is no timing or results.
-
If You Know The Bird Dog, You Know The Bird Dog. Expect one of the smoothest, yet most challenging dirt-road cycling courses you’ve ever ridden.
